GALVANNEALED (Zinc-iron alloy coated sheet)
Introduction to Galvannealed
WHEELING-NIPPON STEEL's galvannealed steel sheet has a zinc-iron alloy coating with an exceptionally uniform surface well suited for painted products. It also provides a consistent surface ideal for excellent formability, weldability, galvanic protection and flatness. The zinc-iron alloy coating is harder than galvanized therefore more resistant to scratching and manufacturing damage. The combined effect between the paint and the lower overall corrosion rate of the galvannealed coating can furnish a long life product. It is produced to ASTM A653 specifications and is used in various applications.
